Healer - Healer AI.

This Actually Dovetails nicely with something that has always bothered me, and I was thinking about posting this morning. Which is Alesia just dies way to much; I was watching the Guild Wars Lets Play series, and they had the same problem; esp in the Shiver Peaks when the Bad guys get a little more Dangerous. So its not entirely just my being thick. ; ) There definitely is a Aggressor AI priority to attack Healers but no H/H Priority to Defend them; and while you can Micro this a little with things like Pin Shot;, and running a Hero set to Dove helps; But I???ve yet to unlock an Monk Elites so for me and other New Players there is a trade there; IMHO the Simple fact is she dies more than all the other H/H combined and that can't speak to a properly Balanced AI, no? Your thoughts. Any Tips for Keep Hope(Less) Alive? |

Aleshia has always been terrible, especially in the early parts of Prophecies. She works much better once Lena becomes available to help her with the monking duties.
Before heroes took over, she was the bane of the PvE world and the butt of many jokes. |

Maybe it's just my Party Build; Just completed Thirsty River so Leena is available but I hate to waste 2 of 6 Slots on Monks, and give up that much firepower.

I'm curious. Do you have access to any of the other campaigns like Eye of the North or Nightfall? I've found the henchmen (or henchwomen as the case may be) curiously lacking in the appropriate skills/ability to readily assist with most of the missions.
Access to heros and their use will greatly enhance you solo game experience. |

I still run Henchies for Classes I've yet to unlock. I've no Mesmer skills to speak of on any of my toons; and really only just building up a credible Necro. So I'm Still in the process of plugging away and filling the toolbox. I suppose at somepoint I'll just buy a skills pack; but feels like shorting the game to just buy something you should earn. (Well for me). I prefer to earn it if I can - It's like I was gifted a Green Hammer by a former Guild Lord; but I never use it .. could not make him see I had not earned it yet; so had no business toting one about; ... would feel like cheating, and why play, then cheat ourself by Nerfing the game? Thanks for the Help BB. |

How come you have no monk elite unlocked as you are in the desert? In all the three missions there you can getWord of Healing which is imho the best healer elite in all game. Or, I figure you haven't ascended yet and can't change secondary and that's why, but that's not far so...I wouldn't go for an unlock pack if I was you.
As for healers being the first ones taken down, it's pretty normal for foes to be willing to get rid of them first. And poor Alesia really does what she can, I always hated her but now I understand that with such a terrible bar as the one they gave her she really can't do more. |

Hmm, no need to buy any of the skills pack, you can unlock skills for your heros in NF at the Sunspear Great Hall with your hero skill points.
If you can take a word of advise, I'd do the Nightfall quests where you unlock both monk heros and begin working their skill bar to what you want (one healer, on prot?). The you will be better prepared to face some of the 6 person Prophecies missions. |

It really depends on how A-Net supports GW after the GW2 Release I really want to finish EotN before they close the store. : ) I was raised up north and love those Shiver Peaks Settings. ---------- I did have one Quick Question though, after you change 2nd Professions; can U keep any skills from your orignal 2nd Profession on your Bar; or do you have to focus only on your current classes? |

Once you change professions, you lose any skills that were from the secondary class you are switching out of on your bar. If you switch back, you still have those skills.

You don't lose the skills but you cant use them at that time... you can only equip skills from your 1st and 2nd prof... and max 3 pve skills (on pve characters).

NOTE: If you've got a character in the Desert, finishing the Augury Rock mission (it's right after Dunes, Thirsty, and Elona Reach are complete) will ascend that character, making some quests available in the desert outposts you can take to earn the other secondary professions (core professions only). |
